About

Katerina Economidou was raised in Athens, Greece. She came to Chicago in 1981, where she received a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Illinois.

Her long time interest in medicine, math, and art came together when she became involved in alternative healing, while working at a medical clinic. In 1991 she began a life long commitment to the study and practice of body therapies, such as Jin Shin Do Acupressure and Massage Therapy.

Believing firmly that healing comes from within – a matter of body, mind, and spirit aligning – her convictions found expression in Ortho-Bionomy, an osteopathy based, gentle form of body therapy that follows the principles of homeopathy; the body has the ability to trigger its own healing when its natural reflexes are engaged by following the body’s positional and energetic patterns. The practitioner facilitates the process, witnessing without judgment and supporting the client in their quest for balance. Katerina continues her learning, appreciation and understanding of Ortho-Bionomy having achieved the status of Registered Advanced Practitioner and Instructor with the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International.

What clients can expect to find when coming for an Ortho-Bionomy session with Katerina is relief from physical acute or chronic pain or ailments as well as a deeper, empowering awareness of themselves.

Katerina teaches Ortho-Bionomy in the U.S. and Europe.
